Mark is a full-time mediator, who is pleased to have assisted in resolving hundreds of mediations. He has mediated all types of cases in the areas of employment, including FEHA, disability/medical leave, wage and hour, and PAGA; personal injury, including auto accidents, premises liability, product liability, and civil rights; and class action, business and commercial, real estate and landlord tenant, education, medical and legal malpractice, appellate, finance and securities, appellate, and insurance coverage/bad faith. In addition to conducting private mediation in litigated cases, Mark also conducts Settlement Conferences for the L.A. Superior Court and mediations for the Central and Eastern District Federal Courts, the California Appellate Courts, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He received mediation training from the Struss Institute at Pepperdine University, the EEOC, the Los Angeles County Bar and Ken Cloke. Mark brings over 25 years of prior litigation and extensive trial experience, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of types of cases; he understands the perspectives of both sides. He has not only represented thousands of plaintiffs but also advised and represented both business and individual defendants over many years in a variety of cases, including employment, personal injury, business, real estate, and finance. Both individually and as a business owner, he has been a plaintiff and defendant himself. Besides his prior 25+ years owning and operating his law office, Mark also brings to his mediation practice the benefit of real-world business experience in the software business, real estate business, and investment business. He previously held licenses as a broker and an investment advisor. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review and clerked for Lewis Brisbois. Mark received his B.S. in Business from California University, Long Beach. He is also a National Merit Scholar.
